The Dreaded Four Letter “F” Word

It took awhile to get my act together. I knew it would. I’d let it go for too long.

“I’ll get to it later”, I thought.

“No one will notice right away”, I rationalized.

But once the ball got rolling, I was then faced with a large, daunting pile.

And there was only one thing left to do.

  1. My wife is similarly affected by that F-word. Or she doesn’t mind folding but hates putting them away. I don’t recall.

I like to fold. I find it relaxing, but I’m weird that way.

  2. LOL…have you actually been over here to our utility room? I think I have somehow managed to pile three loads of laundry in there. I mean they’re clean…but who knows WHEN they’ll make it to their final destination?

I hear ya…I nearly always have “neat” piles of everyone’s laundry on the couch. But folding and hanging…. I HATE it!! We just end up going to get what we need to wear for the day from the pile!

  4. The only thing worse than folding is actually putting it away. Ugh. Speaking of which, I better go throw a load in the dryer.

I do agree. The putting away of the clothing, especially the chi’ren’s clothing, is worse than the actually folding. But still…it would be rather efficient if, when I opened the dryer, I took out stacks of folded laundry instead of a tumbled mess.

  6. I laughed at your tweet about the towels. I have done that before and the reak! I too don’t mind folding… it’s the putting away that kills me.

I also hate folding up the washing. I have started a game with myself that after it is sorted I take the person with the smallest pile first to hang up. Somehow it makes me feel like I am actually achieving the end result. Thinking about it, it’s actually the reverse of saving the best till last!!
